What different species of wood slabs do you use?

One of the questions that we get the most is “what type of wood slab do you use to create your furniture?”  The short answer is we use all different types.  A lot of the time it’s really up to what the customer wants for their space.  Are they looking for a dark wood, light, exotic wood….  Yes, that’s a thing.  We’ve used everything from eastern pine to walnut to purpleheart.  Cost can come into play but at the end of the day they all seem to look a bit different and creating something that someone loves is the goal in the end.  Olive and purpleheart so far are the coolest in my opinion, but again we all have different tastes!  Below are some photos of wood types that we’ve worked with so far.  Have a great week everyone!
